Description You may not find it in the dictionary but you totally know what it means. The Iconomists — Sam and Ashley Owens, Haley Wollens, Oroma Elewa, JD Samson, Hisham Bharoocha, Marina Muñoz, Shantell Martin, and Caroline Ventura — are style stars with unique looks that can't be copied. We looked at them from every angle, even through a mirror here and there, and decided that yup, these guys and gals are as good as gold.

Eat Your Organs
May 20, 2014
Description Livers may not seem like the most beautiful food item ever to be photographed, but Andrew B. Myers would beg to differ. Myers did a fantastic job creating three still lifes to accompany an editorial feature making a case for liver. Whether you're enjoying a home-cooked meal, packing a picnic lunch, or dining by candlelight, Myers' images demonstrate that livers are totally an organ for eating.

Description Fashion and wellness meet in the bedroom with this editorial feature. Sure, the images might make you the subject of some serious side eye as you sit staring at your phone screen on the subway, or computer at work. But your kinkier, inspo-seeking side will thank you for flipping through Isa Wipfli's stunning pics.

Beauty in Bloom
May 8, 2014
Description Mother Nature proves yet again that she is the ultimate beauty queen. This spring's flowers had us absolutely entranced. So much so that we were eager to paint our entire faces perfectly pink, peacy keen, blue-blooded red, and the most mellow yellow. With such bright hues in mind, we called in makeup artist Tina Turnbow from Avon and hairstylist Clay Nielsen to create four beautiful looks. Contrasted against edgy, all-black outfits, these ethereal styles make one thing clear: This season has never looked so damn fine.

Description The Anti-Diet Project is the brainchild of R29's Senior Features Writer Kelsey Miller. Twice a month, Kelsey shares her progress on Refinery29. And what an incredible journey it's been! For this installment, photographer Stephanie Gonot created vibrant still lifes to accompany four diet myths. Allow Kelsey and Stephanie to show you why it's okay to eat after 7 p.m., why cleansing isn't necessary, and why the fact that we were once Paleolithic people does not mean we should all be on the Paleo diet.

Description In honor of National Sibling Day, we photographed four pairs of notable siblings. These stylish duos are forces to be reckoned with. They're musicians, entrepreneurs, writers...and that ain't even the half of it. And what better way to celebrate two adult siblings than take them back to their chilhood days. Primary colors and oversized building blocks created a seriously fun-inducing stage for the sibs to reminisce, share secrets, and even jump around a little bit. Just like old times.

Making It Rain
April 28, 2014
Description This spring, while everyone else was singing "Rain, rain, go away!" we danced to the tune of "Rain, rain, BRING IT ON!" Inspired by April's incessant downpour, we created a shoot featuring the best waterproof makeup in the biz. We put the products to the ultimate test by splashing, pouring, and dripping water on our amazingly gracious model. The beauty looks remained smudge-free! Tens all around.

The New Provocateurs
May 27, 2014
Description The second installment of Beauty Nation is an eight-part series that celebrates inspring, rule-bending women who can't help but shake things up in their creative fields. They're quirky, smart, passionate, gutsy, and unique. They are "The New Provocateurs". Refinery29 and Revlon joined forces to showcase — through originally-shot photographs and in-depth interviews — what it is exactly that makes these powerhouses so special.
Description Food, glorious food! As Refinery29 expands into the ever-delicious world of living, home, and FOOD content, the Creative Department has made sure to have plenty of distinct, zany, and fun art to show. Clay Hickson has some serious skills when it comes to good-enough-to-eat illustrations. And his junk food images are some of the first to enter our archives.
Description The perfect nail color can really make an outfit... or six outfits! This collaborative feature, created in parternship with Essie, showcases not only six show-stopping ensembles inspired by Essie's spring collection, but also reveals a fresh way of looking at products on Refinery29. Each outfit collage is accompanied by a designed slide that mixes texture and color with the Essie polish to match.
Description SoulCycle, CrossFit, Ballet, Yoga... what do these forms of exercise not have in common? The type of music that accompanies the sweat-dripping workouts, of course! This collection of five tailored playlists and five bright, energy-filled illustrations make taking that first step just a little bit easier.
Description Every girl has been the culprit of a beauty blunder or two. Us included! Which is why we called upon the creative talents of London-based illustrator Laura Callaghan to add a litte color to those cringe-worthy experiences. Fall asleep with your makeup on? Stay up all night binge-watching Orange Is The New Black? Just refer to this handy-dandy guide filled with "Beauty Fixes For Last Night's Bad Decisions".

Description Sure, it's easy to tell what 100 calories looks like when you're picking up a carefully marked snack pack... but what if you're reaching for something that doesn't come so diligently pre-wrapped? This editorial feature explored what 100-calorie portions of steak, broccoli, and frozen greek yogurt (and more!) look like. In addition to demonstrating that all calories are not created equal, "This Is What 100 Calories Looks Like" was also an exciting creative undertaking. Floating broccoli? Yes, please!
